Have I told you yet how excited I am about all that is going on with Rock-A-Bow? I don't even know how to put it into words but since this IS a blog, I will try.
It seems like just yesterday Rock-A-Bow was a simple idea between a friend and I. Today, although it is a very small handmade business, it seems like so much more. For a while it had slowed down, although it had never really picked up much pace...is that possible? Hmm, for the sake of finishing this thought, let's say it is. Like I was saying, it was slow and then out of no where, things are happening. Big things.
I had a few people contact me about giveaways, one of which I jumped on, OC City Mommy Raffled off a tutu at The Beehive Expo, the second is still in the works (I was waiting for the relaunch of my new site). A few weeks later a friend of mine, Alaina from Simply Sweet Moments Photography, e-mailed me with an AMAZING offer of doing a photoshoot with some of the pretty little girls in my life wearing Rock-A-Bow. All these people interested in my work? Well that was all the motivation I needed. I was back! I gathered up the cuties and the photoshoot was in the works (look back a couple blogs for more about that). Then, just when I thought it couldn't get any better, my friend Nicole at OliveBlue offered to split her booth with me at The Queen Bee Market.
So...here I am now, I have super cute pictures of all of my stuff, I participated in a show with some AMAZING vendors like her, her, and her. I am working on the second giveaway and although my following is still low and I haven't made a ton of sales, I can't help but feel blessed. I love making my products, I love meeting the new people and I am loving all the new things I am trying.
I have a blog, which you are reading now. I have a twitter, that you should probably start following. I am working on my new website and looking for shows to go to. As I said before. I cannot put into words how exciting this is. However, I can tell you that I am having a blast and praying for big things to happen. Who knows, I may be a SAHM one day ;)
